Pembleton and Bayliss delve into the case of a young boy who has been shot. Amidst the investigation, the victim’s mother unexpectedly encounters the shooter’s mother at an aquarium. The shooter remains unrepentant, realizing he targeted the wrong child. Meanwhile, Munch, Bayliss, and Lewis face a setback when they learn they can’t renovate the bar because it’s designated as a historical site. Their plans are further complicated when they discover outstanding taxes on the property, halting their progress. Meanwhile, Beau discovers his children are in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, prompting him to seek them out.
