Meanwhile, Mike embarks on his first assignment, investigating the murder of a shopkeeper who was killed for defending his neighborhood against drug dealers. The main suspect is Luther Mahoney. Frank attempts to mend his relationship with Tim, who remains firm in his decision to no longer work with Frank. As Mike struggles with the weight of recent events and his damaged reputation, he becomes increasingly agitated by the thought of Mahoney evading justice. Meldrick steps in, hoping to prevent Mike from spiraling further.
