Bayliss is haunted by dreams of Adena Watson, his first unsolved homicide case. An elderly man approaches the Homicide unit to confess that his father was responsible for a murder committed 66 years prior. Falsone takes on the case, but the essential file is missing and turns out to be with retired detective Thomas Finnegan. With Gee's approval, Finnegan joins the investigation. Through questioning the elderly man, they uncover a gun that could be pivotal in solving the case. While Falsone, Finnegan, Lewis, and Kellerman celebrate their breakthrough, Bayliss reflects on the unresolved Watson case.
