Denny made her way back to Larkhall, but Shell was notably absent. The arrival of two new inmates, ambitious Cassie Tyler and Roisin Connor, brought challenges as they struggled to adapt to life behind bars. After overhearing Di end their relationship, Barry lashed out violently at Barbara and then Shaz. When questioned by Mark, Di chose to reveal the truth about Barry’s abusive nature instead of covering for him, leading to Barry’s resignation. Meanwhile, Neil encouraged Sylvia to lead a computer class for the inmates, despite her lack of skills. Shaz took matters into her own hands by starting an escape tunnel in the potting shed. In a clever ruse, Denny feigned interest in Al to extract information for Yvonne, successfully recording Al's confession and putting both him and Maxi in serious trouble, ultimately clearing Yvonne's name.
