Bailey is spending so recklessly on alcohol that he can't keep up with his rent. Julia, eager to reunite Bailey and Sarah, remains furious with him. She warns Julia about Bailey's drinking issues, but Julia dismisses her concerns. To help Bailey, Julia secures him a job with Sam, but he ends up stealing expensive liquor from the workplace. Julia starts to question Sarah’s warnings. When they attempt to confront Bailey, he refuses to listen. Meanwhile, Bailey manipulates the situation between Julia and Charlie to gain Charlie's support. Julia and Claudia aren't fond of Grace, and when Charlie encourages Claudia to befriend her, she volunteers at Grace's program, but it quickly falls apart as Grace struggles with the kids. Charlie begins to doubt if Grace truly wants to be there.
