Whitley excels in her studies while Dwayne finds himself struggling, earning his first C as he becomes preoccupied with their blossoming romance. He worries this grade marks the start of a downward trend, fearing he’ll become a sloth that Whitley will eventually leave. After a vivid dream, he wakes up to Whitley's cheerful offer of cookies, but in a fit of frustration, he yells and pushes her out. Heartbroken, Whitley immerses herself in directing Ron and Freddie's video time capsule. Meanwhile, Dwayne dreams of a future where he sacrifices everything for science and wins a Nobel Prize, only to discover Whitley has married someone else. He later apologizes to her, revealing his insecurities.
