While Gypsy is in Cut Off without Ryan, he texts her, triggering a crisis in their relationship. Meanwhile, in Lake Charles, Gypsy receives a call from her parole officer, which sends her spiraling with anxiety about the possibility of returning to prison. Still upset from their earlier fight, Ryan and Gypsy attempt a date to address their problems, but it ends with Ryan in tears. Gypsy reveals that she’s been communicating with Ken and feels the need for some distance from Ryan, prompting her to seek help from her family to leave Lake Charles.
