As Ukyo takes on the role of the new Amanushi, his scheme starts to unfold. He assigns samurai to every village across the empire, instructing them to adopt the tactics of the “Seven of Kanna Village.” At the same time, he tells the Nobuseri to continue their raids but secretly reveals to Tessai his intention to wipe them out. While Ukyo's strategy starts to crumble, Kambei faces his impending execution, but does he have a hidden plan? Meanwhile, Katsushiro and his companions journey toward the capital. Will they arrive in time?
