After the Pit Stop at a royal tomb in Jodhpur, India, the teams set off to Istanbul, Turkey, over 4,000 miles away. While scrambling for flights, two teams are shocked to discover they're actually over two hours behind, despite thinking they had a lead. Upon arrival in Turkey, they tackle a gnome-finding challenge tied to a sponsorship before facing a Detour where they must select between Columns or Kilos. Most teams choose Kilos, which involves weighing people, while Ron and Kelly opt for Columns, using a coordinate grid to find numbered columns for a lock combination. Later, a Roadblock requires one team member to rappel up a tall fortress to retrieve a key. As they race to the Pit Stop, they ponder the importance of the gnome collected earlier.
