Monday (S01E01)

With just a week left until Mel (Sarah Alexander) and Howard (Ben Miller) tie the knot at her parents’ stunning home, the couple is eagerly anticipating their big day. However, their peaceful morning is interrupted when Mel’s mother, Angela (Alison Steadman), frantically calls with some distressing news. Howard has one important errand to finish before heading to Mel's parents' house that evening, but his colleagues surprise him with a drinks party that derails his plans. Just when he thinks he can move on, his coworker Cassie (Raquel Cassidy) reveals shocking information that leaves his office in uproar. At Mel's parents' place, Howard's attempts to win over his future in-laws go horribly wrong. He finds himself in an awkward situation in the bathroom, accidentally locks the family pet inside a grandfather clock, and mistakenly crawls into the wrong bed for a cuddle.
