In 2005, Labour’s campaign for the General Election unfolded amid the ongoing Iraq war. Tony Blair and New Labour found themselves in a vulnerable situation, facing dwindling popularity. To complicate matters, tensions between Blair and his Chancellor, Gordon Brown, had reached an all-time low. To secure a third term in power, they decide to set aside their disputes and present a united front to the public.
