Pop and Ma attend an open house at Monty’s Naval Training College, where Pop embarrasses a bullying instructor who has been tormenting their son. Meanwhile, Charley grabs his gun to fend off Cope's thugs who are attempting to ruin the hop-garden he just secured with a bank loan. Tensions escalate when Cope discovers that Pop funded the loan with money from the burglary he financed.
