Eros Hoagland, an experienced journalist with a background in conflict zones like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Haiti, turns his attention to Juarez, Mexico, notorious for its staggering murder rate. With over 10,000 lives lost to drug-related violence, the city remains a hub for narcotics trafficking. Eros began his career in 1993 as a photojournalist, documenting the aftermath of El Salvador’s civil war, and has since reported from various global hotspots. His father, renowned photographer John Hoagland, was tragically killed in El Salvador during Eros's childhood. In Juarez, he captures poignant moments, like a man shot in his car, reflecting on the juxtaposition of death's quietness against the chaos surrounding it.
