In a community burdened by deep-seated pain and rampant hatred, can tranquility ever be achieved in Lincoln Heights? Eddie Sutton believes it’s possible if he can guide youth away from gangs, one step at a time. However, can his noble efforts overcome the strong bonds of gang allegiance? Is there truly an escape? Cassie is discovering the harsh realities of these questions as she watches Sage pursue Charles. The sight of them together torments her, yet all Cassie expresses towards him is her frustration. But anger won’t reclaim Charles, nor will it aid anyone struggling on the streets.
