The Nathan James crew learns that the hospital ship USNS Solace has been deployed to sea, awaiting Dr. Scott's vaccine. Captain Chandler seizes the chance to expand their fleet, while Rachel is keen to locate a more advanced lab for vaccine replication. However, when they can’t establish radio contact with Solace, Chandler and his team decide to investigate on board, only to confront an unforeseen adversary.
