In 1966, Aretha is on a quest to discover her musical identity when she draws the interest of Jerry Wexler from Atlantic Records. Flashing back to 1954, young Little Re embarks on her inaugural tour of the Gospel Circuit alongside C.L. Franklin, where she has the chance to meet her idol, Clara Ward.
