After Jo Shou's father is murdered, his mother implores Houhou to seek vengeance. Emotionless, Houhou dispatches the bandits in a chilling display. Although she protects the village, the locals view her as a monster and force her to leave. Alone in the mountains, she spends years in solitude before deciding to search for her family. Meanwhile, Jo Shou discovers an old photograph of Houhou; despite the decades that have passed, she appears unchanged. As she returns to town, what challenges will she face? How will Jo Shou react? And what path lies ahead for Soran, now aware of the outside world and his past? His journey continues, but what future awaits him?
