Upon discovering that the immigrant's criminal record is fabricated, he realizes his error in trying to protect the riot officers. Laia prepares to confront new interrogations determined to dismantle their defenses, but Álex's uncle warns the riot police, prompting them to coordinate a united front. Just as the Internal Affairs team is ready to abandon the interrogations, Laia spots the most vulnerable officer and prompts a confession. Later that night, her direct supervisor takes her out in the early hours to reveal a safe house where a covert police commission is probing the corruption involving high-ranking officers—a case she has nearly jeopardized by ignoring orders and pursuing leads independently.
