The Sweathogs decide to elect Freddie as their new leader, sidelining Vinnie in the process. Frustrated by losing his position, Vinnie decides to drop out of school. When his parents find out, they throw him out of the house, leading him to seek refuge with the Kotters. This situation frustrates Julie, who feels overwhelmed by the Sweathogs monopolizing Gabe’s attention and their time together. Fed up, she packs her bags and heads to a hotel for some space.
