Toni's friends are skeptical about her pregnancy, convinced it's merely a tactic to win back Todd. Despite Toni presenting an ultrasound and suffering from morning sickness, they remain unconvinced and insist on accompanying her to the doctor. Once her pregnancy is confirmed, a remorseful Todd returns to support her but is still uncertain about their future together. Meanwhile, William grows increasingly frustrated with Maya's lackluster performance at work. After her mishap involving client Rev. Al Sharpton, which includes giving him a copy of her book, William places her on probation following a stern lecture from Sharpton.
