Beau Maverick, portrayed by James Garner, reveals to his sons Bret and Bart that he’s getting married. However, the brothers soon learn that this union is purely a business deal rather than a romance. The bride-to-be, Josephine St. Cloud, is being coerced into the marriage by her father, who is pushing for the match with the much older Beau. Determined to thwart the wedding, the Maverick brothers embark on a mission to derail the plans, unaware that their father has already devised a strategy of his own.
