Batman and Robin chase after him, ultimately breaching the villain's lair. Captured, they find themselves in a chamber with a twisted ultimatum: if they can float for an hour, they'll escape. As the chamber fills with poisonous gas, the Joker taunts them, declaring that while they might not swim in the gas, they could certainly drown in it!
