Carol completes her paramedic recertification by attending to an extremely overweight and sluggish man. Shep makes advances towards Carol. Jeanie decides to end her relationship with Benton. Wendy interviews various ER staff for an article about Dr. Greene, while Dr. Ross tends to a four-year-old boy with AIDS.
