By midday, she’s back in the kitchen, making lunch for the maiko upon their return from lessons. As evening approaches, she readies dinner for the maiko before their night of entertainment. Once the maiko are gone, Kiyo tidies up, then enjoys a relaxing soak at the public bath followed by a leisurely walk through the enchanting streets of Kyoto at night.
