Determined to take control of her fate, she persuades Belle to join her on a perilous adventure that teaches them both a profound lesson about courage. Back in Storybrooke, Regina, Mary Margaret, and David uncover a spell that could enable one of Merlin's chosen to reach him. However, when Arthur fails to connect with the elusive sorcerer, their suspicions deepen. Meanwhile, Emma orders Merida to kill Belle, hoping to trigger Mr. Gold’s heroic change, leaving Merida torn, as she is compelled to follow Emma's command.
