Feeling neglected as Liz seems to focus solely on Todd, Jessica confides in Peggy that Todd is single, hoping to create a rift between them. Peggy makes a bold move towards Todd, and when Liz discovers them, she swiftly ends her relationship with him. Later, Jessica sets Liz up with Chris, but after just one date, Liz turns him down. In retaliation, Chris uses Liz's dropped diary to expose her private thoughts to the entire school. As her friendships begin to crumble, Jessica stands firm in her belief that Liz wouldn’t betray their trust and sets out to rectify the situation.
