Kasey, the ex-receptionist, asks Moesha to follow up on some unfinished messages she received. Niecy stops by Moesha's workplace, as they have plans to catch a movie. When Moesha answers a call from the renowned Dr. Maya Angelou, she seizes the opportunity to arrange an interview with the iconic writer. Persuading Niecy to act as her assistant, Moesha conducts the interview in Joe's office. Dr. Angelou notices Moesha's desire for validation and urges her to reconsider her choice to skip college in favor of pursuing writing. Although Joe later commends her work, he regrets that he must let her go for misrepresenting her position. In the end, Moesha shares with her family that she has chosen to attend college.
