While investigating the origins of a lethal prion outbreak, NorBAC focuses on a major agribusiness believed to be distributing contaminated chickens. David is determined to persuade Danny to halt his gene therapy efforts. Meanwhile, Caroline encourages David to interview Jill Langston for the open virologist role at NorBAC. Initially hesitant, David's feelings shift to attraction when he finally meets her.
