Struggling to create their own invisibility gland, the Chinese government plans to steal the American version. They mistakenly believe that Bobby Hobbes is the team's invisible member. To evade capture, Fawkes and Hobbes go underground, but Bobby's anxiety begins to mount. After a series of narrow escapes, Hobbes is presumed dead in a staged car accident. However, he surprises everyone by appearing at his own funeral, only to be captured by the Chinese. The Agency traces him to the Chinese embassy, prompting Fawkes to launch a rescue mission. Ultimately, they discover it's a trap designed to flush out the true American Invisible Man. Fawkes manages to save Bobby before they can extract the Quicksilver, igniting the building in the process.
