JB performs his stand-up routine at the local comedy cafe, and his friends come out to support him, thoroughly enjoying his performance. However, on his second night, he decides to switch things up by using internet-sourced jokes, which fall flat with the audience. Meanwhile, Jett is suspicious of his friends' intentions as they secretly organize a surprise birthday celebration for him. He frequently spots his parents dining together, leading him to believe they might rekindle their relationship after their divorce. At the surprise party, he feels devastated to discover they were only collaborating to celebrate him.
