One patient unexpectedly cancels their surgery, and another individual heads to a cozy bed-and-breakfast. Alex manages a patient with a history of numerous injuries. A man prepares for surgery, but his wife's lukewarm support raises concerns about her ability to cope with the outcome. Izzie attempts to return to the hospital for the first time since Denny's passing. A nurse observes a child who frequently visits, while two foster patients raise alarms about potential child abuse. George and Callie's relationship begins to evolve.
