Eb relentlessly pesters "Dad" for a car, but an increasingly frustrated Oliver continues to refuse. At the same time, Lisa showers little Lori with gifts, making Eb feel like he's been pushed aside in the Douglas household. Feeling dejected, he decides to run away in search of a job. He briefly visits Drucker's store to vent to Sam about how Oliver keeps him shackled with rules and squandered $4000 in a gambling binge in Las Vegas. However, when Eb heads back home, he realizes that Oliver isn’t the villain he’s made him out to be.
