The Engine of Change (S01E07)

The queen announces her pregnancy and names Albert as the successor to the throne should anything happen to her. This decision enrages the Tory party, who worry about a German prince wielding influence in Britain and plot to sabotage his trip to the industrial north. Surprisingly, Albert gains support from Sir Robert Peel, who is looking for the queen's endorsement on the burgeoning railway project. Initially, Victoria is skeptical, but her perspective shifts after she personally witnesses the innovation of Peel's railway.
