Fred and Barney fall victim to two swindlers masquerading as gold miners, who sell them a fake mine. Meanwhile, Wilma and Betty uncover the scam and cleverly devise a plan to trick the con artists into repurchasing the mine. However, Fred and Barney, believing in the mine's worth, refuse to let it go. Ultimately, it takes the con men’s threats to persuade the duo to reclaim their investment and return home.
