The Excalibur arrives at Babylon 5, where Gideon seeks an audience with an ambassador to secure permission for a mission to a planet that could hold valuable technology for Earth. However, the ambassador denies his request, and Gideon is determined to challenge that decision. Meanwhile, Ellerson unexpectedly encounters his ex-wife, who is in a dire situation with a loan shark.
