In 2003, a massive wave of protests erupted across the United States in response to the ethnic cleansing happening in Sudan. Fast forward to 2008, with Obama winning the presidency, many of those passionate activists found themselves in positions of power. The question now is whether they could leverage their influence to bring about meaningful change in the situation.
