Archie and Edith head over to Maude's for Carol's wedding to David Green, who is Jewish. Archie is reluctant to attend, and Carol wishes he wouldn't come at all. Despite being invited to the bachelor party, Archie turns it down and ends up at a nearby hotel, unaware that the party is taking place there. When the noise becomes unbearable, he calls the police for help. Meanwhile, Edith remains for the bridal shower. After David and Walter return from the festivities, tension arises between David and Carol as they clash over their views on women's roles, ultimately leading to the wedding being called off, much to Maude's heartbreak.
