Tamayo Hussey, who relocated to the UK with her husband Nigel 15 years ago, has longed for Japan ever since. To combat her nostalgia, they undertook the project of reinventing their home into a distinctive Japanese retreat, featuring a traditional roof bath, tatami room, and sliding paper walls.
