Buck sets out to locate Ann Simmons' husband, Jack, who has gone missing. In order to help him, Ann gives Buck a precious diamond ring to use as a sign of her trust. While in a border town, Buck is ambushed by the Truscott gang. Just when things seem dire, Simmons swoops in to save Buck and the diamond. However, he shockingly declines to go back to Ann. As Buck makes his way home, he is once again caught by the gang, leaving his chances of making it out alive hanging by a thread.
