Following a heated argument with her daughter, Carol is thrilled about her new role at "Morning Wined Up," only to discover it comes with far less responsibility than she anticipated. Meanwhile, Katie is resolute in her mission to expose Fenton Pelt, the billionaire suing "The Breakdown," despite Greg and the network lawyer's clear instructions to steer clear of him. When her passionate speech on journalistic ethics only resonates with Chuck, who is currently suspended from the show, Katie reluctantly teams up with him, only to realize that his investigative abilities have significantly diminished.
