However, her efforts backfire, leading her to embrace the beatnik lifestyle by creating a trendy new dance called "The Tater Digger." Initially supportive of the youth's self-expression, Jed's perspective shifts dramatically when he sees Granny's unconventional attire and behavior, leaving him questioning the whole beatnik craze.
