Jethro issues a challenge to his neighbor, Colonel Dumbarton, leading to a jousting match in the spirit of the War of the Roses. Meanwhile, Jed expresses his desire to present the deed to Canada to the Queen. Mr. Drysdale persuades him to remain, promising to bring the Queen to him instead. He dresses Miss Jane as Queen Elizabeth I, and she accepts the deed on behalf of the monarchy. In a grand gesture, Jethro is also knighted during the event.
