A massive passenger plane crashes about 40 miles from Los Angeles. Quincy and Sam are dispatched to begin identifying the victims and ensure the crash site remains undisturbed. Once the rest of the Coroners team arrives and the bodies are marked, they transport them back to LA for autopsies on all one hundred victims. Quincy uncovers that the aircraft was carrying a highly flammable gas—legal but extremely hazardous. He faces two significant challenges: convincing the airline to reconsider transporting such dangerous materials and persuading an insurance company to acknowledge one unidentified body as a policyholder, allowing his family to receive the insurance payout.
