Deep within the forest, Betty Jo believes she has discovered the ideal home for her and Steve after they tie the knot. However, all Steve and Kate can see is a rundown shack, lacking even a bathroom. Despite the challenges, Steve strives to encourage Betty Jo's vision. His casual remark about the potential benefits of the house inadvertently causes tension between the couple and jeopardizes their upcoming wedding. While Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo rally around their sister, Kate attempts to reason with Betty Jo. Eventually, Kate devises a plan for Steve to express his true feelings about the situation.
