After Jackie relocates back East with her son Austin, former pro-football player Marion Hill enjoys a brief moment of solitude in his home. He eagerly awaits a medical update on his football career, but a visit to the sports clinic drastically alters his perspective. Marion receives devastating news from the blunt Dr. Maxwell Stanton, confirming he can never play football again. Lost and uncertain, he is encouraged by his neighbor and physical therapist, Tonia, to purchase the clinic facing closure due to corporate downsizing. However, Dr. Stanton also aims to buy the clinic, leading to an unexpected partnership as they realize they must collaborate to make the deal happen.
