Homer receives a notification from the library stating that a classic tales book he borrowed is years past due. He locates it on his shelf and dives into three stories: in The Odyssey, Homer and his drinking buddies embark on a journey home after their battle with the Trojans; in Joan of Arc, Lisa rallies the French against the English, empowered by divine guidance; and in Hamlet, Bart seeks revenge on Moe after Moe murders Homer to win Marge's affection.
