Bernie is concerned about Bryanna's unconventional education at the Wellington School, where her activities primarily involve sandbox play and tiddlywinks. To understand the situation better, he volunteers as a teacher's aide for a week. However, he faces challenges from the beginning when he insists on being called Mr. Mac, demanding respect from the children. When they push back, the teachers inform him that his lack of respect for their methods means he must leave. He decides to take Bryanna with him, but transferring her to a new school proves to be more complicated than anticipated. Meanwhile, Wanda grapples with how to mediate between Vanessa and Jordan, contemplating whether resorting to violence might be the only solution.
