A treasure hunt unfolds in Hazzard County as a Civil War payroll, hidden before the Battle of Hazzard, becomes the target of excitement. A history professor offers Boss Hogg the cash from the strongbox, provided she retains the important historical documents and artifacts. The Dukes get drawn into the adventure, eventually stepping in to assist the professor when two greedy fortune hunters steal her findings. Together, they work to reclaim the treasure and ensure its rightful preservation.
