Katie's Korner (S05E22)
Katie has been feeling down ever since her ex-boyfriend got engaged, and financial troubles have led her to consider shutting down Katie's Korner. Nell suspects that Katie is in such a dark place that she might attempt suicide, especially after she gave Joey an early birthday present and decided to give her car to Julie and Jonathan. When Nell and Addy arrive at the store's closing, they find the lights off and realize Katie is inside. In a moment of desperation, they throw a tree through the window just as Katie steps outside. Nell confides in Addy about her own past struggles after her divorce from Tony. Thankfully, Katie shares some good news: she received a job offer from Chadwick's in San Francisco, with a salary of $32,000 and a company car.
