Augurs of Spring (S01E01)

Set in 1930s Los Angeles, Jack Parsons spends his days as a janitor at a chemical plant, but when night falls, he pursues a hidden dream of creating rockets to reach the moon. His ambitions become even more challenging as he and his wife, Susan, encounter their enigmatic new neighbor, Ernest Donovan, who seems to be living a life filled with secrets of his own.
